TERMS OF USE

1. Eligibility

SitterLine is for adults 18 and older. Parents and sitters must be legally able to agree to these terms and to any care arrangement they make with each other.

2. Your account

Keep your login details secure and tell us right away about any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for the information you enter, including information about your children and household, and for choosing who you connect with and share it with.

3. What SitterLine is — and isn't

SitterLine is a tool for parents and sitters who have already arranged care with each other. We do not find, screen, background-check, employ, or recommend sitters, and we are not a party to any arrangement between a parent and a sitter. Care notes and child profiles are for care coordination only and are not medical records. In an emergency, call 911.

4. Payments between parents and sitters

SitterLine shows session totals and can open payment apps such as Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle, but it does not process, hold, or guarantee payments between parents and sitters. Payment disputes are between the parent and the sitter, and we are not responsible for non-payment.

5. SitterLine Plus

Sitters never pay for SitterLine. For parents, SitterLine is free with unlimited sits for 30 days after signing up, then includes 3 free sits per calendar month across all of your sitters. SitterLine Plus removes that limit. When the monthly limit is reached, your sitter cannot start a new session until the next month or until you subscribe; messages and emergency information keep working.

SitterLine Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and cancelling stops future renewals while keeping Plus until the paid period ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Deleting your SitterLine account does not cancel your subscription. We may change prices or plan features with advance notice as the app stores require; a price change applies from your next renewal.

If you subscribe through the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, alongside these terms.

6. Time corrections

The time-correction tool lets a parent or sitter propose a change to a session's times in good faith. Deliberately falsifying session times or earnings may lead to account suspension and, in serious cases, referral to the appropriate authorities.

7. Acceptable use

• Don't falsify session times, earnings, or records.
• Don't use SitterLine to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
• Don't try to access another person's account or data, or interfere with the service.
• Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

8. Your content

Care notes, messages, photos, and profile information you add remain yours. You give us a limited license to store, process, and display that content to you and the people you connect with, only as needed to run SitterLine.

9. Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account); see our Privacy Policy for what is deleted.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SitterLine is provided "as is" and "as available". Notifications and reminders may be delayed or not delivered, so don't rely on them for safety-critical communication. To the fullest extent the law allows, Kiln Digital Labs is not liable for the conduct of any parent or sitter, for disputes or missed payments between them, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of SitterLine.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top of this page and let you know in the app about material changes. Continuing to use SitterLine after they take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law and contact
